I help job seekers take control of their job search in a hiring environment that no longer works the way it used to.

After more than 30 years in career education, career services, and workforce development, I’ve worked with thousands of people navigating career change; veterans transitioning to civilian work, bootcamp graduates, mid-career professionals, and people who’ve done everything “right” and still aren’t getting traction.

What I’ve seen consistently is this: the traditional job search, applications, job boards, and automated systems create frustration, delay, and false signals of progress.

The Proactive Job Seeker exists to offer a different approach.

My work focuses on practical, proactive methods that help people:

• create visibility instead of waiting to be discovered
• build real conversations instead of submitting more applications
• position themselves as solutions, not candidates in a queue

I don’t focus on motivation, mindset talk, or personal branding for its own sake. I focus on systems, clear steps people can use immediately to move a job search forward.
